Eric M. Creizman is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a member of the firm's Litigation Department.  Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Creizman was an associate at Heller Ehrman LLP from 2001 to 2008 and an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP from 1999 to 2001.  His practice focuses on white collar criminal matters and regulatory investigations.  Mr. Creizman also has significant experience in complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, and litigation involving officer/director indemnification and insurance coverage issues. 

Mr. Creizman has represented various corporate and individual clients in grand jury investigations, pre-trial proceedings, jury trials, sentencing, restitution, and forfeiture proceedings, as well as in parallel regulatory and civil proceedings.  He also has had substantial experience in conducting internal investigations.  These matters have focused in the areas of securities fraud, financial fraud, criminal antitrust, export control violations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, labor racketeering, environmental and wildlife conservation, bankruptcy fraud, criminal copyright infringement, Bank Secrecy Act, public corruption, government program fraud, and government-initiated civil RICO actions, among others.  Mr. Creizman appears regularly before judges in the Eastern District of New York as an active member of its Criminal Justice Act indigent defense panel.

Mr. Creizman earned his Juris Doctor in 1999 from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a James Kent and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree cum laude from Columbia College in 1996.

Mr. Creizman is an active member of the Criminal Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Bronx Defenders, a public interest law dedicated to representing indigent defendants in state court prosecutions and in related civil, housing, and immigration law matters.  Mr. Creizman is a co-author of a chapter on federal criminal discovery in Defending Criminal Cases:  Attacking the Government's Proof, published by Law Journal Press, and has written and published a number of other articles focused on white collar criminal law.
