Mr. Palmer has been named a "Super Lawyer" by Los Angeles magazine in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008; previously profiled in the Los Angeles Daily Journal; included in the "Best Lawyers in America"; listed in various "Who's Who" publications as one of America's top lawyers; and is a frequent speaker and lecturer for the Federal Bar Association, the Continuing Education for the Bar (CEB), the Orange County Bar Association, Lorman Educational Seminars, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and other groups. He was also a contributing author to The Rutter Group's Civil Trials and Evidence California Practice Guide and PLI's Securities Litigation Handbook.
Mr. Palmer is active in the local community, serving as Chair of Board Development and a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way, the Co-Chair of the Orange County Alexis de Tocqueville Society, and the former Chair of the Bench & Bar program. He also serves of the Board of Directors for the South Coast Repertory Theater. Mr. Palmer has also served on the Board of Project Tomorrow, an educational based local charity. Mr. Palmer is also a past President of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Orange County Chapter; a past President of the Federal Bar Association, Orange County Chapter; the former Chair of the Orange County Bar Association Judiciary Committee; a Board member of the Orange County Bar Association; and a past President of the Constitutional Rights Foundation. He also served as a Volunteer Deputy District Attorney and prosecuted cases for both the Los Angeles and Orange County District Attorney's offices and has donated substantial time to and received awards from the Public Law Center. Mr. Palmer is admitted to practice in the State of California and before the U.S. Supreme Court and multiple federal courts.
