Adoption Saturday was conceived in the late 1990s by a Gibson Dunn partner to speed the adoption of abused and neglected children in Los Angeles County.  Gibson Dunn’s Los Angeles and Dallas offices have regular Adoption Saturday programs.  The Los Angeles office hosts two annually and since the program’s inception has assisted in over 2196 adoptions.

The Dallas adoption program has grown into an on-going, year-round project. During the six years that the office has participated in the program, the office has handled the adoption of 352 children.

Gibson Dunn lawyers, paralegals and staff have donated thousands of hours to the Adoption Saturday program since its inception.  We have shared the systems and methodologies created for this program with firms nationwide, and have been gratified to see it grow and flourish throughout the country.
