Irwin F. Sentilles III, a partner in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, joined the firm in 1986.  A member of the Corporations Department, Mr. Sentilles has extensive experience in corporate and securities law.

Mr. Sentilles’ practice encompasses mergers and acquisitions, capital markets financings, private equity, restructurings, securities law compliance, corporate governance and general corporate advice for both publicly and privately held companies.  His industry experience includes energy, healthcare, homebuilding, manufacturing, retail, technology, transportation and utilities.

Recent representations include:

• Celanese Corporation in an acquisition of steam generating facilities
• DII Industries, LLC Asbestos PI Trust in its $2.5 billion secondary offering of Halliburton common stock
• Atmos Energy Corp. in its $1.9 billion acquisition of the operations of TXU Gas Company and related public debt and equity financings
• D.R. Horton, Inc. in its issuances of $2.25 billion in senior notes
• National Petcare, Inc. in its sale to VCA Antech, Inc.
• Thousand Trails, Inc. in its $113 million sale to KTTI Holding Company, Inc.

Mr. Sentilles is a frequent speaker on corporate and securities law topics.

Mr. Sentilles received his undergraduate degree with honors from Yale University in 1969.  He graduated from Yale Law School in 1972.

Mr. Sentilles has been admitted to practice before the Bars of New York and Texas.
