Beau Stark is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's Denver office and a member of the Firm's Corporate Transactions Practice Group. He advises a leading private equity firm specializing in the energy industry, as well as other private equity sponsors and a range of public and private corporations in the energy, construction, technology, medical products, and telecom industries. In 2006, Mr. Stark was named to the list of 30 most influential lawyers in global private equity by Private Equity International, and was recognized as part of the 2007 BTI Client Services All-Star Team for Law Firms.
Mr. Stark has extensive experience in all aspects of private equity practice, including acquisitions, sales, joint ventures, public offerings, management participation and financing, as well as the internal monitoring and control of portfolio companies by fund sponsors. He also has experience representing public and private companies in acquisitions, securities offerings, tender offers, and general corporate matters.
Mr. Stark has significant experience assisting private equity and public company clients with multi-transaction consolidation and roll-up strategies, including developing and implementing internal M&A policies, forms and procedures, integration issues, and tracking and maintenance of acquired companies.
Mr. Stark graduated in 1995 from the University of Colorado School of Law, where he was ranked first in his class, was a member of the Order of the Coif and was an Editor on the University of Colorado Law Review. He received a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1991, and worked for a small aerospace consulting firm before attending law school.
Together with Richard M. Russo, a partner in the Denver office, Mr. Stark was the co-author of the Colorado Limited Liability Company Forms and Practice Manual (Data Trace 1996).
