Russell C. Hansen is Partner-in-Charge of the Palo Alto office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a member of the firm's Executive Committee.  Mr. Hansen joined the firm in 1980. and is a member of the firm's Corporate Transactions and Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Groups.

Mr. Hansen has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for corporate and private equity clients, corporate finance in both the public and private capital markets, joint ventures and strategic alliances, general corporate and securities advice and counseling boards of directors. 

Clients with whom he works range from large, global corporations to emerging growth and middle market companies in a variety of industries and include private equity and individual private investors.  Representative clients that he has recently represented in transactions include Intel Corporation, Hewlett-Packard Company, CRH plc and Admiralty Partners, Inc.

Mr. Hansen received his A.B. degree summa cum laude from Princeton University in 1976.  He received his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his J.D. degree from the Stanford Law School in 1980.  Mr. Hansen has been admitted to practice before the Texas and California courts.  He is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Stanford Law School.
