Corporate Partner Ferdinand Fromholzer Joins Gibson Dunn in Munich

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Dr. Ferdinand Fromholzer will join the firm’s Munich office as a partner. Previously a partner with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Munich, he will continue his corporate law practice, focusing on stock corporation law and corporate governance issues, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

About Ferdinand Fromholzer

Fromholzer has a broad corporate practice that focuses on core corporate law matters, such as annual stockholder meetings and corporate structural measures, among others; M&A, with strategic and private equity investors; and compliance investigations, with a focus on duties and obligations of directors and officers. He is co-author of the “Commentary on German Act on Transformation of Companies,” to be published this year by Beck-Verlag.

Before joining the firm, Fromholzer practiced with Freshfields since 1998 and as a partner since 2003. During his tenure there, he practiced in the Hamburg, London and Munich offices and served as a founding member of Munich office. He studied law at the University of Regensburg and the University of Bonn and received his law degrees from the States of Bavaria and Hamburg. He earned an LL.M. degree, from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1994 and obtained a doctorate at the University of Regensburg in 1997.
