Gibson Dunn Awarded Six LMG Life Sciences Awards

Gibson Dunn won six awards, at the fourth annual LMG Life Sciences Awards. For its work on behalf of Life Science industry leaders, the firm was named:

• Litigation Firm of the Year

• Finance & Transactional Firm of the Year

The firm was also recognized for matters that it handled:

• M&A Impact Deal of the Year: High Range for work on behalf of St. Jude Medical, including its $25 billion acquisition by Abbott

• Venture Capital Deal of the Year for numerous financings on behalf of Ultragenyx

• Hatch-Waxman Litigation Impact Case of the Year for successfully representing Sanofi in a complicated and hotly contested case involving patents on both pharmaceutical formulations and delivery device

• Non-IP Litigation Impact Case of the Year for winning dismissal of a novel False Claims Act case against Sanofi 

In addition, three Gibson Dunn partners were nominated for Attorney of the Year in their respective practices: Century City partner Wayne Barsky for California Intellectual Property, New York partner Jane Love for New York Intellectual Property and San Francisco partner Ryan Murr for Finance & Transactional. 

The LMG Life Sciences award ceremony took place on September 14, 2016 at Essex House in New York.
