The Daily Journal has named Ted Boutrous and Ruth Fisher to its annual list of California's Top 100 Lawyers [PDF], honoring those who are "shaping the future through their work."  Boutrous was recognized for his representation of major automakers in winning the dismissal of a lawsuit brought by the state seeking billions of dollars of damages based on their alleged responsibility for global warming and for his work in obtaining the state's first-ever appellate reduction of noneconomic damages.  Fisher was recognized for her representation of Vivendi SA in the combination of its Vivendi Games business with Activision – a venture which created the world's largest independent video game publisher, Activision Blizzard, and for her work for Warner Music Group in creating a joint venture with Frank Sinatra's family to manage all aspects of Sinatra's artistic contribution to music, film and stage and the use of his name and likeness.
