Gibson Dunn's Century City team guides corporations and financial institutions in complex corporate restructurings as well as public and private financing transactions.  Our lawyers represent buyers, sellers and lenders in asset and stock purchases and sales, acquisitions, mergers, and other business combinations and related financings.  Our real estate clients range from privately held entrepreneurial developers to the owners, developers and financiers of some of the largest U.S. real estate projects.  We counsel on all aspects of asset ownership and management, development and entitlement, environmental and land use issues, financing, and investment transactions and workouts.   

Gibson Dunn's Intellectual Property Practice is known across the United States for its expertise in all facets of IP transactions and litigation.  Patent infringement litigation work spans industries from semiconductor and software to telecommunications and life sciences.  We cover the complete range of nonpatent matters, from copyright and trademark to counterfeiting and unfair competition.  We handle acquisition and divestiture of IP assets and portfolios as well as software development, source code licensing, outsourcing and distribution agreements.  

Litigation and litigation avoidance are a substantial component of our practice in the Century City office, home to some of the pre-eminent U.S. trial lawyers.  We represent a diverse array of clients in matters involving media and entertainment disputes, business and commercial torts, and antitrust (including civil and criminal government investigations).  Client work additionally includes transnational litigation, class actions and other complex litigation matters.  Our Century City lawyers also counsel and advise on litigation avoidance, from constructing corporate compliance programs through consulting regularly on business strategy and tactics, to devising alternative dispute mechanisms in complex commercial transactions.
