Webcast – Managing Cross-Border Transactions

January 16, 2014

As M&A activity continues to recover from the depths of the global financial crisis, it is timely that the first webcast in our series entitled “Global Mergers & Acquisitions: Key Developments and Trends” focuses on effective cross-border deal planning and management. Planning and management issues in cross-border M&A can be very different to those in single jurisdiction transactions. Awareness of cultural differences, as well as an understanding of key legal and regulatory differences, are often the key to achieving agreement on a transaction and, as important, a successful post-transaction integration. Please join the very experienced members of Gibson Dunn’s European M&A team whose webcast presentation guides you through how to avoid the potential pitfalls and traps.

Their presentation will cover:

  • the initial practical considerations that need to be borne in mind;
  • identifying and managing what will drive the transactional structure;
  • the key issues in managing the due diligence, its process and the results;
  • identifying and managing the regulatory risks relevant to a multi-jurisdictional transaction;
  • how to achieve a successful signing and closing across borders; and
  • factors relevant to the employee base (and their benefits) that is to be acquired.

Who should view this program:
