Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce Kevin Masuda has joined the firm as a partner in the Los Angeles office. Formerly a partner with Munger, Tolles & Olson, he will continue his corporate practice, which largely focuses on transactions in the entertainment and technology industries.

About Kevin Masuda
Masuda has a broad corporate practice, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity financings, and restructuring matters, with a heavy concentration in the media, entertainment and sports industries. He has been recognized by entertainment industry publications and was named to Variety’s 2017 Legal Impact Report and 2016 Dealmakers Impact Report, and the Hollywood Reporter’s 2015 Power Lawyers List. He was also named among Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2016 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in Los Angeles.
He previously practiced with Munger Tolles since 1996 and as a partner since 2001. Before that, he practiced with Skadden Arps from 1993 to 1996.
Masuda received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1992 and his A.B. summa cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley in 1988. He is a board member of Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles.
