Gibson Dunn Appoints Litigation Partner Benjamin Wagner to Lead the Palo Alto Office

August 16, 2017

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP has named litigation partner Benjamin Wagner as Partner in Charge of the Palo Alto office, effective August 14, 2017.

Wagner, a former United States Attorney for the Eastern District of California who joined the firm last year, succeeds corporate partner Russell Hansen, who served in the role for the past 12 years.

"We thank Russ for his leadership and dedication to the firm," said Ken Doran, Chairman and Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn.  "We look forward to working with Ben in this new role.  Leadership is not new to Ben who served as the U.S. Attorney in Sacramento from 2009 to 2016, overseeing an office of about 180 dedicated professionals.  We are confident that Ben is well-prepared to lead and grow our Palo Alto office."

"Silicon Valley is a complex and exciting environment full of opportunities," said Wagner. "I hope to continue raising our office’s profile and contributing to its success."
