Based in San Francisco, Palo Alto, or Los Angeles, the white collar litigation Client Development Senior Specialist will be responsible for supporting the business development and visibility initiatives and priorities for their assigned practices and lawyers. As part of a team, this role will work closely with the relevant client development manager on business development and marketing initiatives to drive the growth of our business and support the lawyers with their marketing initiatives.

 

For a select group of litigation practices, the Client Development Senior Specialist is responsible for driving the development and maintenance of collateral materials including the creation of bespoke pitch documents, standardized pitch decks, opportunity ready deal lists, matter descriptions and other applicable content. Along with the relevant client development manager, the client development coordinator will spearhead visibility and client relationship management activities including conferences, sponsorships and client facing events. This role will also work closely with the broader client development team to provide input and support on team infrastructure and broader department projects as needed.

 

This role reports to the Client Development Manager.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development and marketing efforts for assigned practices and/or regions as well as providing support for individual partner business objectives with the client development manager.
  • Drive creation and maintenance of collateral materials including the creation of bespoke pitch documents, standardized pitch decks, opportunity ready deal lists, matter descriptions and other applicable content.
  • Support related practice and individual lawyer visibility initiatives including conferences, sponsorships, professional association memberships, speaking opportunities and other opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and support to client relationship activities including events, relationship reviews, opportunity spotting and other related efforts.
  • Collaborate with client development manager and the market intelligence team on client targeting efforts and research reports, supporting both individual pitches and practice area strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with the CRM team, Market intelligence team and Directories team to ensure high quality client data is maintained for relevant deliverables.
  • Collaborate with CLE team on both webcasts and in-person programming
  • Collaborate with international business development colleagues on cross-border pitch efforts
  • Flexibility to travel to local firm hosted or sponsored events
  • Actively contribute to development and advancement of client development specialist and coordinator.

Experience

  • University degree
  • Specialists require 3-5+ years of experience in professional services
  • Experience creating and developing business pitches or learning programs Proficient in Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $100-115k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
