Based in Washington, D.C., Dallas, Houston, San Francisco or Los Angeles, the Client Development Specialist will be responsible for supporting the business development and visibility initiatives and priorities for their assigned practices and lawyers. As part of a team, this role will work closely with the relevant client development manager on business development and marketing initiatives to drive the growth of our business and support the lawyers with their marketing initiatives.
For a select group of litigation practices, the Client Development Specialist will be responsible for driving the development and maintenance of collateral materials including the creation of bespoke pitch documents, standardized pitch decks, opportunity litigation lists, matter descriptions and other applicable content. Along with the relevant Client Development Manager, the Client Development Specialist will spearhead visibility and client relationship management activities including conferences, sponsorships and client facing events. This role will also work closely with the broader client development team to provide input and support on team infrastructure and broader department projects as needed.
This role reports to the Client Development Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and marketing efforts for assigned practices and/or regions as well as providing support for individual partner business objectives with the client development manager.
- Driving creation and maintenance of collateral materials including the creation of bespoke pitch documents, standardized pitch decks, litigation matter lists, matter descriptions and other applicable content.
- Supporting related practice and individual lawyer visibility initiatives including conferences, sponsorships, professional association memberships, speaking opportunities and other opportunities.
- Providing guidance and support to client relationship activities including events, relationship reviews, opportunity spotting and other related efforts.
- Collaborating with client development manager and the market intelligence team on client targeting efforts and research reports, supporting both individual pitches and practice area strategic projects.
- Collaborating with the CRM team, Market intelligence team and Directories team to ensure high quality client data is maintained for relevant deliverables.
- Actively contributing to development and advancement of client development coordinator.
Qualifications
- High attention to detail.

- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound, independent judgements.
Experience
- University degree.
- 3-5+ years of experience in professional services.
- Experience creating and developing business pitches or learning programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM systems preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $100-120k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
