Based in Los Angeles, the Communications Coordinator provides responsive, effective administrative support to implement the firm’s public relations initiatives that raise the firm’s profile and position our lawyers as leaders.

This role reports to the Chief Communications Officer.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle administrative functions, such as calendaring, ordering reprints, managing invoices and maintaining files
  • Organize and maintain editorial calendars and track deadlines
  • Monitor daily media coverage and compose daily media round-up emails
  • Develop and maintain efficient systems for organizing communications materials so they are easily accessible
  • Draft, edit and update communications materials, which may include press releases, deal notes, award submissions, and survey responses, among others
  • Create media lists for communications initiatives
  • Draft and post communications materials for the intranet and website
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices
  • Promote effective work practices and provide excellent client service to fellow team members and other constituencies

  • Ability to work overtime as necessary

Experience

  • University degree, preferably in Communications, English, or Journalism
  • 1-2 years of experience in public relations preferred
  • Prior experience in a law firm, other professional service firm preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $45-65k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
