Based in any US office, the Director of Marketing & Business Development Operations will oversee the Market Intelligence, Special Events and CRM teams in addition to assisting the Co-Chief Marketing & Business Development Officers with operational facets of the department .

This role reports to the Co-Chief Marketing Officers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Co-Chief Marketing & Business Development Officers to spearhead personnel operational functions related to the department including recruiting, on-boarding, annual performance reviews, competency model and on-going employee retention efforts.
  • Collaborate with professional development to develop and execute a training program for the department.
  • Work with the leadership team to advance collaboration tools and processes to increase information flow and oversee the intranet as an internal communications tool.
  • Oversee the CRM function including priorities for functional advancement, team management, technology integration and the collection of lawyer business development activities.
  • Manage the Marketing Intelligence function including priorities, research resource allocation, matter collection, the use of Foundation and team management.
  • Oversee the Event function including working with the Events senior lead on process improvement, budgeting, event scheduling, resources and strategic priorities.
  • Manage the department’s technology stack working with the Chief Information Officer, Chief Knowledge Officer and other relevant professionals to optimize efficiency and collaboration by leveraging available technology.
  • Collect and track marketing budgets for practices and offices as well as the department.

  • Ability to manage a large and geographically diverse team.
  • Dedication to execution and ability to work outside of normal business hours.
  • Highly responsive.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • 15+ years of experience in professional services, legal preferred.
  • 2+ years of team management experience, with direct reporting lines.
  • Experience in strategic business development planning and pitching.
  • International exposure preferred.
  • Exceptional in Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word PowerPoint).

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $300-375k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
