Based in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or London, the Director of International Technology Solutions is an IS leadership role with the primary responsibility of providing leadership and technical guidance to a team of twelve (12) technical and AV support personnel who in turn provides IT support to all non-US office personnel.  The Director will also work closely with the CIO and CTO to develop and establish the international technology strategy, infrastructure and platform to ensure a stable, dynamic and supportive environment for the Firm’s European, Middle East and Asian offices.

This role reports to the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with senior IS leadership to support the creation, development, and change management efforts with respect to technology.
  • Monitor and analyze internal customer and client demand to determine the need for innovations or changes in technology.
  • Work with IS leadership to perform continuous gap analysis in technology platform and IS equipment to ensure that it is meeting the short- and long-term goals at both a global and local level.
  • Identify and work with IS leadership to address gaps in technology and take leadership in implementing those changes and other technology changes in the Europe, Middle East and Asian offices.
  • Prepare and manage local technology budgets and make investments while balancing the Firm’s strategic vision and local office requirements.
  • Instill a culture of world class customer service within the IS support team.
  • Interact effectively with senior Firm management and customer constituencies at all levels.
  • Provide oversight regarding the operational availability of all technology related equipment and IS resources including laptops/desktops, printers, servers, data communication equipment, network infrastructure, telephone equipment, and audio-visual systems as well as non-US office renovations and moves.
  • Lead IS meetings and IS projects.
  • Responsible for all employee development, retention, and performance issues in real time and conduct annual reviews for team members.
  • Provide technical support and assistance outside of normal business hours as required, including, but not limited, to Saturday and Sundays.
  • Travel as requested (where applicable).

Qualifications

Experience and Knowledge

  • Strong, demonstrated experience in leading the vision of an IS department across multiple geo-regions and time zones.
  • Experience providing leadership in a Windows 10/11/O365 environment and various legal specific applications.
  • Experience in various cloud computing technologies, which include but limited to MS Azure/OneDrive, O365 and iManage.
  • Experience providing overall IS leadership in a Legal or Professional Services environment.

Experience

  • University degree
  • Director level IT experience in a law firm environment preferred.
