Gibson Dunn is looking for an eDiscovery Specialist who is an integral part of our Global Practice Services team. You will effectively utilize Litigation Technology and collaborate with multiple legal teams across the firm.

This position is open to the California, New York, Washington D.C., and Dallas offices of Gibson Dunn. The standard hours for this position are Monday to Friday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.

The role reports to the Director of Global Practice Services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and ensuring the effective use of current Litigation Technology to Firm litigation matters
  • Adhering to all Global Practice Services (“GPS”) and Information Services (“IS”) policies, procedures, best practices and guidelines
  • Engaging with legal teams and providing technical support and assistance with the planning, design, development, application and implementation of technology and database systems such as Relativity, Everlaw, Concordance, Opticon, Livenote, Casemap, Timemap Sanction, LAW, external web-based document repositories, and external web-based case management tools.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a basic understanding of the litigation process, standard litigation support procedures and concepts.
  • Familiarity with basic project management concepts and electronic evidence rules and laws.
  • Familiarity with the current Microsoft Office Suite, Relativity, LAW, LiveNote or other comparable transcript handlers, Sanction or other related presentation software and external web-based document repositories and case management tools.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated, quickly learn new software and procedures, exercise good judgment and show initiative in resolving problems and completing assignments.
  • Must be able to organize, plan and prioritize workload. Must work well under pressure and in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Experience

  • Bachelors degree is required.
  • A minimum of five years work experience as a litigation technology specialist in an ABA 100 law firm or Fortune 100 corporate legal department is required.
  • A minimum of five years experience with Relativity and an active RCA is strongly preferred. A minimum of two years’ experience working with external web-based document repository, review or case management tools is necessary.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $125-135k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
