Based in New York, Washington, D.C., or California, the Global Proposal Coordinator will support the Global Proposal Assistant Manager and will be responsible for helping to manage and develop complex, strategic business development proposals, including responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), direct client pitches, other specialized business development projects, and fee proposals.   This position requires a professional, highly motivated, organized individual capable of functioning in a fast-paced legal environment and comfortable reporting to manager based in another office and time zone.

This role reports to the Global Proposal Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead strategic proposals, including responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), various information requests from clients, and other specialized projects to further business development opportunities and new business generation.
  • Liaise directly with firm partners to strategize approach to proposals and develop content to assemble high-quality submissions for clients.
  • Work closely with other firm department heads to coordinate various proposal requirements and ensure a cohesive response in a timely manner.
  • Manage proposal reference materials to ensure accuracy and consistency across responses.
  • Track pitch and proposal outcomes for the entire department and assist with the monthly pitch report as needed.
  • Track and maintain client panel engagements.

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team oriented environment;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of contact management software;
  • Working knowledge of AP and Bluebook style guidelines.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism or a related field;
  • 3+ years of public relations or marketing experience, preferably in a professional services setting;
  • 2+ years of proposal and/or business writing experience in a professional services organization.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $70-80k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
