Based in Los Angeles, you will be an HRIS Reporting Analyst and provide support to our growing HRIS team. The Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting HR, Benefits, Payroll, Professional Development, Recruiting and Diversity departments’ reporting needs, as well as, related presentations and industry specific surveys. In addition, this position will assist these teams in planning, coordinating and executing large-scale department initiatives.

The role reports to the HRIS Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ad Hoc reporting requests from the various departments, while adhering to strict data privacy and security rules
  • Design and develop reports/presentations using a variety of applications and data sources, such as, PowerPoint, MS Access/MS Excel, Tableau, PeopleSoft Query, MS SQL Server Management Studio, viGlobal’s Software, and/or Aderant Expert (CMS) and Legal Practice/Financial Management Systems
  • Ability to analyze and format data in order to produce attractive, informative and readable reports and presentations that are accentuated, where appropriate, by meaningful and insightful tables or charts
  • Track and analyze statistical data for various departments
  • Manage or assist with special projects as assigned
  • Coordinate and track the year-round lateral hiring of attorneys for all offices, including the preparation of regular status reports to monitor number of offers extended versus number of desired candidates
  • Coordinate the compilation of pertinent information and the timely submission of firm data for a variety of legal industry surveys including the National Association for Law Placement (NALP)
  • Responsible for annual set-up, maintenance and administration of the online evaluation system for the Summer Associates
  • Collaborate with web developers to update internal and external websites for recruiting purposes. Responsible for maintenance and development of recruiting related materials and content

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with attorneys and staff at all levels within a large, global law firm setting
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Strong experience with PowerPoint and with creating high quality, polished presentations is highly preferred
  • Experience in collecting, reviewing and organizing data
  • Translating data into impactful reports, tables, graphs, and charts that can influence decisions
  • Ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to consult with stakeholders and identify metrics and interpretation needed in deliverables
  • Effective at multi-tasking and handling multiple streams of work simultaneously
  • Structured Query Language knowledge is highly preferred
  • SharePoint experience preferred, with a working knowledge of HTML
  • Tableau or other dashboard development experience is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Flexibility to adjust working hours when necessary to meet operation and business needs
  • Flexibility to travel as needed. May include some evening and weekend work
  • Detail-oriented self-starter, highly creative and innovative, while possessing a strong interest in data, analytics, problem solving and process improvement.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment across all levels of staff and management.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Dedication, intelligence and a continuous improvement mindset are necessary for success.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, based on department needs is required.

Experience

Experience:

  • A Bachelor degree is required, with emphasis in HR, Legal Studies, Analytics, Information System or other related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience, prior legal experience is a plus. Previous work experience in HRIS, human resources, recruiting or a law firm environment is ideal.
  • Must have strong technology skills, especially with MS Office (Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint), and be comfortable at leveraging technology to improve work processes.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $92 – 115k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
