International Tax Accountant/Manager

Based London or Dubai, the International Tax Accountant/Manager* will support with maintaining Firm-wide tax compliance, focusing on the Firm’s offices outside the US (i.e. Europe, Middle East, and Asia).

This role reports to the Senior Manager, International Tax. In addition, you will collaborate with colleagues in the Firm’s Global Tax Department, Global Partners, Finance Team members, and Human Resources colleagues. External contacts include global tax advisors, Partners’ accountants and tax authorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the coordination, preparation and submission of the Firm’s non-US tax returns.
  • Coordinating and managing non-US tax inquiries and tax audits.
  • Supporting with tax research projects e.g. relating to updates to tax laws and regulations affecting the partnership in the relevant jurisdictions, including briefing advisors.
  • Working with the Global Tax Department, and key personnel / stakeholders, on various special projects.
  • Advising on global mobility issues, including permanent establishment.
  • Driving process improvements, including utilizing technology to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience with global partnership taxation, tax reporting requirements, and partnership tax accounting.
  • Capable of managing multiple assignments and related deadlines.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient technical skills in MS Office (Excel, ideally to an advanced level, and Word).
  • Ability to critically assess advice received from global tax advisors.
  • Must have ‘can do’ attitude and be willing to do what it takes to meet tight deadlines.

Experience

  • 3+ years of solid international tax experience with strong experience in partnership and individual taxation with a Big 4 Accounting Firm and/or a Multinational Law Firm.
  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification desirable.
  • Experience as an effective team member, ideally involving working with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience of researching overseas tax laws / regulations and applying them to practical situations.
  • Solid experience with multinational / global partnership taxation, tax reporting requirements, and partnership tax accounting.
