Based in New York, the Litigation Paralegal is responsible for assisting our attorneys with a wide variety of tasks and projects.

This role reports to the Manager of Paralegal Services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist Attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial.
  • Assist with calendaring case deadlines.
  • Assist with and draft court filings and preparations in Federal and state courts.
  • Assist with document collection, organization, review, and productions.
  • Assist with drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Proofread, cite check and blue book court briefs and discovery documents.
  • Assist with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations.
  • Assist with all aspects, including travel, of trial and arbitration preparations
  • Prepare various charts and indices.
  • Coordinate with external vendors.
  • Perform various day-to-day case management tasks.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals and legal assistants as needed.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of common litigation practices, procedures, regulations, and workflow.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Experience with eDiscovery Databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task, balancing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and able to handle efficiently handle multiple projects and client matters simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Prepares and timely submits timekeeping reports.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with members across multiple offices.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed and work at least 3 days a week in-person.
  • Available to travel as needed.
  • Other tasks as required by the group/firm.
  • Notary Public preferred.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • 5+ Years’ Experience.
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
  • Prior experience working as a Litigation Paralegal in a large law-firm is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $90-120k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
