Senior Legal Analyst, Financial Restructuring (Staff Attorney)

Based in New York, the Staff Attorney will join the Liability Management and Special Situations practice group. The ideal candidate will be a big law attorney who wants to make a lifestyle change with a more predictable schedule. This role will not include any tracking or minimal billable hour requirement.
Responsibilities include:
- Review finance documents, including credit reviews, loan agreements, indentures and security documents.
- Create credit reviews/grids.
- Conduct document review with respect to finance/distressed finance and liability management transactions.
- Conduct due diligence and review legal documentation.
- Contribute to business development activities including the creation of client pitches and proposals.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of deal lists, and case studies and organize relevant department experience to use for business development.
Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a quick paced environment.
- Must have advanced knowledge in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Experience
- Strong understanding of complex finance transactions, liability management exercises and debt restructuring processes.
- 7+ years of experience in debt finance, special situations, liability management, financial restructuring, and/or related practice areas.
- J.D. with a strong academic record is required.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- Prior experience in a law firm environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $390-450k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
