Gibson Dunn is looking for a Senior Systems/Active Directory Engineer. The Senior Systems/Active Directory Engineer will operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment using leading-edge technologies to maintain and grow a global communications network infrastructure based on Microsoft, VMWARE, NetApp, Cisco, and Intel technologies. This position manages Active Directory Windows Server-Related Functional Support for GPO, CA, ADFS, and Other Domain Relevant Services. This position will work remotely/from home, within a reasonable travel distance to one of the firm’s offices, allowing for on-premise office work when necessary.
The candidate will be responsible for Active Directory best practices and should have a deep understanding of Active Directory security audit data points and security settings best practices to assist with implementing and enforcing a low-level delegation of access within Active Directory. Equally important is a strong knowledge of natively granted permissions to various Microsoft Built-In Groups required to perform Active Directory Administrative Functions, knowledge of native permissions granted when building AD objects, and knowledge of permissions granted natively to Built-In Groups via GPOs and/or Local Policies.
Working with others, the Senior Active Directory Engineer will also assist with troubleshooting various service and network problems and, where applicable, provide solutions or workarounds to restore service and support Ticket Resolution as part of an IS Operations support rotation. Adherence to firm network standards will be assured by this person, who will also communicate to senior management the pros and cons of these policies and their impact on the organization.
This position is open to all U.S. office locations of Gibson Dunn.
The role reports to the IS Operations Director and will work closely with senior IS staff.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $145-155k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
