Based in any of our U.S. offices, the Sustainability Intern will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of environmental initiatives across our global offices. This is a career-building opportunity to work with a firm committed to positive environmental impact.

This role reports to the Special Projects Manager, Innovation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the planning and implementation of sustainability initiatives across the firm’s global offices. Example activities include organizing and tracking engagement for events such as World Biodiversity Day, Bike to Work Day, or Plastic-Free July, etc.
  • Assisting in monitoring, measuring, and reporting on sustainability efforts to assess their effectiveness and overall adoption across teams.
  • Contributing to the development of Green Teams in all global offices to foster local leadership and engagement in environmental efforts.
  • Collecting and organizing data to support external sustainability reporting frameworks such as CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), and potentially SBTI (Science Based Target Initiative).
  • Working with external consultants by providing internal support and navigation as they conduct a firm-wide climate risk analysis.
  • Conducting research and propose new ideas or opportunities to enhance the firm’s sustainability efforts.
  • Supporting the project manager with daily operational tasks and helping meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills; comfortable engaging with colleagues from various backgrounds.
  • Enthusiastic about environmental initiatives and sustainability practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with international teams to align sustainability efforts across global offices.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and interpret data for various reporting needs.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with international teams.

Experience

  • Prior experience or coursework in sustainability, environmental studies, or a related field is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly compensation range for this position is $25-28/hr. Benefits offered for this position include health care and paid sick time.
