John S. Ehrett is an associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Washington, D.C. office, where he practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Mr. Ehrett earned his law degree in 2017 from Yale Law School, where he was features and book reviews editor of the Yale Law Journal, a symposium editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, and a member of the Media Freedom & Information Access Clinic, where his case team was nominated for the Columbia University Global Freedom of Expression Prize. He graduated summa cum laude in 2014 from Patrick Henry College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ehrett served as a law clerk to the Hon. James C. Ho in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and to the Hon. Alex Kozinski in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Virginia State Bar.
