BIOGRAPHY

Maribel Garcia Ochoa is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She currently practices in the firm’s Real Estate Department.

Maribel earned her Juris Doctor in 2021 from UC Berkeley School of Law where she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Interdisciplinary Approach to Land Development and Investment and the Best Oral Argument Award in Written and Oral Advocacy. While in law school, she was a member of the Haas School of Business competition team for the National UT Austin Real Estate Case Competition in 2019 where she and her team received First Place. Maribel was also a Board Member of La Raza Association and a member of the Karuk Tribe – Berkeley Law Legal Project.

Prior to law school, she worked as a Planning and Land use Deputy for a Los Angeles City Councilmember and earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA. She graduated cum laude from the College Honors Program with a degree in Political Science and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Maribel is also a graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and a former Board Member of Coro Southern California.

She is admitted to practice law in the State of California.
