Johanna Hauser is an associate in the Munich office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a member of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity and Securities Regulation and Corporate Governance Groups.
Ms. Hauser focuses on stock corporation law, capital markets law, inter alia with regard to annual stockholder meetings, corporate governance and market abuse questions, as well as transformation law. In addition she advises corporates and private equity investors on domestic and international private and public M&A.
Handelsblatt / The Best Lawyers™ in Germany 2022/2023 have recognized Ms. Hauser in their list “Ones to Watch” for Mergers & Acquisitions Law.
Ms. Hauser regularly publishes on corporate law matters. Among others, she is co-author of various client alerts and articles including Consequences Of Wirecard Scandal: New Requirements For Corporate Governance And Audit Of German Listed Companies (Mondaq, August 17, 2021).
Ms. Hauser studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich and obtained her doctor’s degree on insider trading law from the Humboldt University Berlin. During her legal clerkship she worked, inter alia, for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Tanzania.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ms. Hauser was in the Munich office of a renowned international law firm.
Ms. Hauser is fluent in German and English.
