BIOGRAPHY

Léo Laumônier is an associate in the Paris office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group.

M. Laumônier specializes in employment law, notably advising French and international clients on issues related to both individual and collective work relationships.

He has experience in restructuring transactions, including the implementation of redundancy plans, employment audits, transfer or closure of business and collective bargaining with employee representatives. His practice also focuses on pre-litigation and litigation matters.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn in 2020, Léo Laumônier practiced with Flichy Grangé Avocats and Clifford Chance.

Admitted to the Paris bar since 2018, he graduated vice-major from University Paris II – Assas with a master’s degree in Employment law (DPRT) in 2016. M. Laumônier is a member of AvoSial, a lawyers-only club devoting their professional activity to legal representation and advice to employers in the field of labor law and social security. He is also the founder of the Cercle Tosca (a Paris Bar’s non-profit club for classical music lovers) as well as a frequent member of the jury in the French Debating Championship.

Léo Laumônier is fluent in English.

Representative experience :

  • Mutares in connection with the employment aspects of the acquisition of Lapeyre;
  • ACE Capital in connection with the employment aspects of its acquisition of shares within the FIGEAC AERO Group.
  • Savills SA on general employment aspects; and
  • Vivarte on the employment aspects of the sale of various of its subsidiaries (Caroll, Minelli).
