Colton Lyons is a corporate associate in the Denver office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where he currently practices in the firm’s Capital Markets and Securities Regulation and Corporate Governance practice groups.
Mr. Lyons represents public and private companies and private equity sponsors in connection with initial public offerings, secondary offerings, high yield, convertible and investment grade notes offerings, exchange offers and tender offers. He also has experience in public company mergers and acquisitions and transactions involving special purpose acquisition companies, including initial public offerings and “de-SPAC” transactions. Additionally, Mr. Lyons advises clients on general corporate concerns, including Exchange Act reporting, corporate governance and Section 16 matters.
Mr. Lyons received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2020, where he served as Symposium Director and Executive Officer for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas and Energy Law. In 2017, he graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he received his B.A. in political science.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Lyons was an associate in the Capital Markets practice group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Dallas.
Mr. Lyons is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and in the State of Colorado.
