Claire Madill is a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
She clerked for Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson of the Supreme Court of the United States, Judge William A. Fletcher of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and Judge Alison J. Nathan of (at the time) the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. In addition to her clerkships, Claire worked for five years as a public defender, where she focused on appellate and postconviction cases.
Claire graduated first in her class, summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 2015. She earned her bachelor of arts degree summa cum laude in Business from Kalamazoo College in 2012. In 2023, Claire participated in the Temple Bar Program, a legal exchange program with the United Kingdom.
