Levi I. Marelus is an associate in the London office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets practice groups.
Levi has experience acting on a wide and varied range of M&A, private equity, and corporate matters, including:
Levi served as CEO and Founder of a leading social-tech start-up, and serves as a Jewish Diplomat with the World Jewish Congress. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), and a Belgian American Educational Foundation Fellow.
Mr. Marelus earned his BA at the University of Cambridge, where he served as Senior Editor of the Cambridge Law Review, and as Board Member of the Faculty Board of the University of Cambridge Law School. Upon completing his legal studies, Mr Marelus undertook business studies at the Cambridge Judge Business School. He served as Board Member of the Faculty Board of the Cambridge Judge Business School, and as Board Member of the Business School Teaching Committee.
Mr Marelus obtained his Master’s degree, with Distinction honors, at the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Teaching Fellow in AI & Bias at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and as Teaching Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship at the Wharton Business School. Mr Marelus also served as LLM Class President, as Board Member of the Faculty Board of the Penn Law School, and as Board Member to the Penn Law Council of Student Representatives.
Mr Marelus served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Hanan Melcer, the Deputy Chief Justice at the Supreme Court of Israel. He also served at the United States Congress with the Congressman of California’s 50th congressional district.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Marelus was at the London office of Sidley Austin LLP. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
