BIOGRAPHY

​Edward C. Patterson is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He currently practices in the firm’s Litigation Department, with a focus on white collar criminal defense, antitrust, and securities enforcement.

​Mr. Patterson received his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he was a Supervising Editor of the Journal on Legislation. He received his undergraduate degree in History, with honors, from the University of Chicago.

Most recently, Mr. Patterson was listed in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” for Criminal Defense: White Collar and Antitrust Litigation.

Prior to law school, Mr. Patterson served as a field artillery officer in the United States Army. His military decorations and awards include the Bronze Star, the Ranger Tab, and the Parachutist Badge. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Mr. Patterson is admitted to practice law in California and the District of Columbia.
