Audrey Payne is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. She practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Audrey earned her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. She was an Articles Editor for the Virginia Law Review, a finalist in the William Minor Lile Moot Court competition, Alumni Outreach Chair for the Federalist Society, and Vice President of Communications for the St. Thomas More Society. During her third yar of law school, she argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit with the University of Virginia School of Law’s Appellate Litigation Clinic. She received the James M. Shoemaker Jr. Moot Court Award for her performance in the moot court competition and the Norton Rose Fulbright Best Memorandum Award in her legal research and writing course.
Audrey graduated summa cum laude with Departmental Honors from Texas Christian University with a Dual Degree in Political Science and Music. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and earned the James W. Newcomer Senior Scholar Award and the Political Science Department’s Undergraduate Research Prize. At TCU, she served as a Drum Major for “The Pride of TCU” Horned Frog Marching Band.
Audrey is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
