Kelsey Stimson is an associate in the Denver office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Ms. Stimson earned her law degree from Yale Law School.  As a clinical student in the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic at Yale, she advocated for robust free press rights and information-access rights under the First Amendment.  During law school, she was awarded the A. Leon Higginbotham Prize in recognition of her outstanding appellate brief submitted in Yale Law School’s Morris Tyler Moot Court of Appeals Competition.

Ms. Stimson graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Literary Journalism.  She received the Sidney Cox Memorial Prize in recognition of her investigative journalism observing corrections officers during their shifts in a maximum security prison.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Stimson clerked for the Honorable Edith B. Clement of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable Douglas P. Woodlock of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Ms. Stimson is a member of the State Bar of Colorado and is admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
