BIOGRAPHY

Joanna Strzelewicz is an associate in the Paris office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and serves as a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice groups.

Ms. Strzelewicz focuses her practice on advising French and international clients on issues related to both individual or collective work relationships (e.g. collective contracts termination). She specializes on employment law and social security issues, frequently acting on operations such as insolvency proceedings, mergers and acquisitions, transfer or closure of companies, in several sectors namely in retail, financial services or pharmaceutical.

Ms. Strzelewicz acts on strategic transactions and handles day-to-day human resources and employment matters for international companies having their business interests in France. She has also developed experience in pre-litigation and litigation matters.

Admitted to the Paris Bar, Ms. Strzelewicz graduated from University Paris II – Assas with a master’s degree in Employment law.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn in July 2020, Ms. Strzelewicz worked within the Labor and Employment department of various French and American law firms, as well as in the Labor department of a French multinational group specializing in luxury goods.

Ms. Strzelewicz is fluent in French, English and Portuguese.
