Patrick Taqui is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where his practice includes white collar criminal defense and internal investigations, international arbitration, corporate compliance, and general commercial litigation. Mr. Taqui’s recent experience includes representing multinational companies in internal and government investigations in the U.S., the U.K., Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Additionally, Mr. Taqui has experience representing individuals and multi-national corporations in investor-state and commercial arbitration disputes regarding investments in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, as well as in general U.S. commercial litigations.
Mr. Taqui received his Juris Doctor in 2017 from New York University School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Continental Philosophy from Stony Brook University in 2007. Upon graduation, Mr. Taqui worked as an insurance agent for New York Life Insurance company, then as a real estate agent for a boutique firm in the Financial District. Mr. Taqui then co-founded and led a real estate firm also in the Financial District, specializing in residential sales and rentals. Before going to law school, Mr. Taqui was a volunteer and interpreter with the African Services Committee, a Social and Humanitarian Affairs Intern at the African Union Permanent Mission to the United Nations, and a 2014 Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Corporate Law Intern. In 2021, Mr. Taqui was selected as a member of the New York Chapter of the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
Mr. Taqui is fluent in French and is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the New York Appellate Division, Second Department.
