Marie Thomas is an associate in the Paris office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she serves as a member of the firm’s Business Restructuring and Litigation practice groups.
Marie Thomas specializes in dispute resolution and restructuring.
She advises clients in complex domestic or cross-border litigation and arbitration in a wide variety of disputes, from general commercial or corporate matters to intricate insolvency proceedings disputes.
Ms. Thomas’ experience also encompasses domestic and cross-border restructurings, pre-insolvency and insolvency proceedings with respect to French or global companies of all sizes and from a variety of sectors. In this context, she advises debtors, creditors, shareholders, insolvency practitioners or buyers.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn in 2021, Ms. Thomas spent two years working within the Restructuring and Dispute resolution department of Bird & Bird in Paris.
Admitted to the Paris bar since 2019, Ms. Thomas received a master’s degree in Economical Law from Sciences Po Paris in 2016, as well as a master in Litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution from University Paris II – Assas in 2017. As an undergraduate student, she studied for a year at Northwestern University (Chicago, Illinois).
Marie Thomas is fluent in French and English.
