Samantha Weiss is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Innovation, and Labor and Employment practice groups.
Ms. Weiss has experience representing a wide range of clients, including major technology companies and their founders, in litigations, regulatory investigations, and matters involving employment and privacy. She has significant litigation experience, including leading fact discovery, managing expert discovery, preparing for and second chairing depositions, drafting motions, and participating in jury trials, including drafting direct and cross examination outlines and preparing witnesses for trial. She also has experience advising companies, including by drafting website policies and terms of use. Ms. Weiss is also committed to pro bono work and has an active practice focused on asylum work.
From 2018-19, Ms. Weiss served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael M. Baylson, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Weiss received her Juris Doctor in 2017 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served as a Senior Editor for the Journal of Business Law and was an Arthur J. Littleton Legal Writing Instructor. She graduated cum laude in 2012 from Georgetown University.
Ms. Weiss is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
