Y. Shukie Grossman is a partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is Co-Chair of the Investment Funds Practice Group.
Mr. Grossman’s practice focuses on the formation of private investment funds, including domestic and offshore funds focused on buyout, growth equity, infrastructure, real estate, credit and other investment strategies. In addition to fund formation, he has significant experience advising on the acquisition and sale of minority and majority stakes in fund sponsors, as well as spin-outs of fund businesses and management teams. He also advises investment firms on their operation, regulation and internal governance arrangements.
Mr. Grossman’s representative clients include AECOM Capital, ICONIQ Capital, IPI Partners, Leonard Green & Partners, Meridiam Infrastructure, Motive Partners, Pharos Capital Group, Stonecourt Capital and TCG Capital Management.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Grossman was a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. He spent several years in the Division of Investment Management of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Mr. Grossman is a member of the Private Investment Funds Forum, the New York Investment Funds Society and is also a member of the adjunct faculty at Columbia Law School where he teaches a course on private investment funds.
Mr. Grossman received his Juris Doctor from Fordham University Law School and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yeshiva University.
