Gibson Dunn Team Receives Pro Bono Leadership Award from NCLEJ

In May 2019, Gibson Dunn received the Pro Bono Leadership Award from the National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ) for its work on behalf of Migrant Justice, a Vermont-based grassroots organization that advocates for migrant farmworkers.  The Gibson Dunn team – Joel Cohen, Amanda Aycock, Jaclyn Neely, Erin Galliher, Alina Wattenberg, Magan Haycock, and Nealofar Panjshiri – currently represents Migrant Justice and individual Migrant Justice members in a lawsuit filed in the District of Vermont against ICE, DHS, and the Vermont DMV, alleging violations of their First Amendment rights of speech and assembly, working with co-counsel at NCLEJ, the ACLU of Vermont, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and the National Immigration Law Center.  The Pro Bono Leadership Award was presented at NCLEJ’s annual Awards Benefit Dinner on May 28, 2019 and was accepted by Joel Cohen.
