Corporate Partner Robert Phillips Joins Gibson Dunn in San Francisco

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Robert Phillips has joined the firm’s San Francisco office as a partner.  Phillips, formerly a partner at Cooley LLP, will continue to focus on corporate and capital markets transactions for life sciences and technology companies.

About Robert Phillips 

Over his 20 years of law practice, Phillips has accrued considerable experience advising life sciences and tech companies on a wide array of corporate transactional issues, including corporate finance, corporate governance, securities law compliance, M&A and complex restructurings.  In particular, he focuses on advising domestic and foreign issuers and investments banks in capital markets offerings, including IPOs, follow-ons, convertible debt and high-yield debt offerings.

Before joining Gibson Dunn, Phillips served as a partner at Cooley LLP since 2014.  Before that, he was a partner with Latham & Watkins LLP.

He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1999.  He received his B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1994, cum laude.
