Manager of Business Development & Marketing (UAE)

Based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, the Manager, Business Development and Marketing will drive the growth of the firm’s business and support the UAE partners and overall efforts in the Middle East.
This role will report into the Sr. Manager of Business Development, local leadership including the Partners-in-Charge and will collaborate closely with colleagues located throughout the EMEA region as well as those in the U.S.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the overall business development and marketing for the Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices working closely with the Sr. Manager, Business Development and other key team members (as applicable).
- Support the offices’ key client efforts and work with other business development colleagues to ensure the identification, development, and growth of high-value clients including connecting the dots across the firm.
- Lead and execute all relevant pitches and RFPs including collaborating with the global proposals team when applicable.
- Spearhead the drafting and maintaining of practice-specific marketing materials and collateral including experience lists and the collection of relevant matters.
- Support lawyers on individual business development and client activities as needed including working with leadership on integration for future laterals.
- Work with the directories team to support directory and award responses as needed.
- Spearhead local matter collection to ensure the experience database is updated and maintained and information is available for submission to global league tables.
- Collaborate with the PR team and external resources on related PR, visibility, and social media efforts and support local execution.
- Plan, organize and manage seminars, events (with local team), conference attendance and sponsorship as well as other targeted marketing activities
- Provide oversight and guidance of junior resources (as applicable).
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Strong orientation towards customer service
- Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously
- Strong time management skills and a sense of urgency to requests, including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
- High attention to detail
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Preferred experience with Foundation and Interaction.
Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in professional services, legal preferred
- 2+ years of team management experience preferred
