Role Overview

New opportunity to join our growing tax team in the London office.

As an Associate in the Tax team, you will provide your expertise in cross-border transactions or advisory mandates, working on a diverse client base where we have developed deep capabilities in a variety of sub-specialties including cross-border practice, litigation and administration representation, investment funds and general tax advice.

You will provide day-to-day tax advice to a diverse range of clients, focusing on early problem-solving and innovative solutions.  We provide cutting-edge tax advice to multinational corporations, investment funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, partnerships, joint ventures, and startups.

Successful candidates will be E&W qualified with excellent academics and 4 – 8 years’ experience working in a top tier law firm. Strong analytical and communication skills alongside an ability to articulate complex tax matters with clarity and precision is essential.

Tax Team 

Led by Sandy Bhogal and Ben Fryer, our expertise includes investment fund structuring, joint ventures and business combinations, tax-efficient holding and operating structures, and cross-border acquisition and investment planning.

A pillar of our practice is our unique ability to advise a large number of clients who rely on us for day-to-day tax advice. This day-to-day involvement allows us to focus on problems early and to devise practical solutions. Examples include the taxation of publishing and media companies, technology companies, financial institutions, cross-border transactions, pension trusts and real estate investment trusts, as well as the tax treatment of executive compensation, special tax deductions, consolidated return issues, and utilization of tax attributes and planning against inadvertent changes of ownership.
