Clémence Pugnet

Associate Attorney

Clémence Pugnet is an associate in the Paris office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she serves as member of the firm's Strategic Sourcing and Commercial Contracts, Technology Transactions, Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Innovation and Artificial Intelligence practices. 

Clémence assists national and international clients from various sectors on complex matters related to privacy, cybersecurity, information technology and artificial intelligence.

She has developed an advanced expertise in a broad range of data protection matters and advises companies in the context of investigations and procedures before the French data protection authority. Clémence also assists clients in their cross border digital projects (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, NFTs, Metaverse), including multijurisdictional surveys across different legal frameworks. She also regularly advises on IT and data privacy aspects of M&A transactions.

Legal 500 EMEA has distinguished Clémence among the French market’s “Rising Stars” in its Data Privacy and Data Protection category.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn in July 2018, she worked as an associate in the Telecoms, Media & Technology Department of a major French law firm.

Admitted to the Paris Bar since 2017, Clémence holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and a Master from the Grande École program of EDHEC Business School.

She speaks French and English fluently.
