Kenneth M. Doran is the Managing Partner of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and serves as the Chairman of the Firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Doran has extensive experience in a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, "going private" transactions, cross-border transactions, debt and equity securities offerings, strategic and VC-type investments, corporate reorganizations and other restructurings. Mr. Doran regularly counsels clients regarding corporate governance issues, fiduciary duties and other compliance matters.
Mr. Doran has extensive experience in representing public and private companies in a wide array of industries, investment bankers and private equity groups, as well as individual investors and owners of closely held businesses. In addition, Mr. Doran has been retained as special counsel to numerous boards of directors and special committees organized to respond to sensitive merger and acquisition matters and to deal with various corporate governance issues.
Mr. Doran graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Stanford University. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Southern California, where he served as Executive Articles Editor of the Southern California Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif .
