Based in Washington, D.C., the Recruiting Intern will provide administrative support for both local and firm-wide summer programs, as well as our law clerk and student engagement and recruitment efforts.

This role reports to the Director of Recruiting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing for on-campus and law clerk programming, interviews, and events.
  • Supporting on-campus interview functions, which includes the preparation of logistics for law school visits or interview dates, candidate vetting, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
  • Assisting with a variety of aspects of the summer program, including event preparation, budgeting, and daily administrative and on-the-ground support.
  • Supporting general logistics for happenings within the D.C. office (in-person interviews, room set-ups, specific office and broader firm events, catering confirmations etc.).
  • Software system navigation to assist with routine tasks related to ongoing and new candidacies, store department information.
  • Interfacing and collaborating with key personnel in Human Resources, Accounting, Diversity &Inclusion, Professional Development, and the firmwide Legal Recruiting Department.

  • Take initiative and be able to take direction from others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work, while functioning within deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a willingness to work evening events, as needed.

Experience

  • Must be enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program.
  • Must have well-developed computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working in an in-office, in-person environment and have a customer-service disposition.

Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly compensation for this position is $25/hour. Benefits offered for this position include health care and paid sick time.
