Favorite memory from your time at Gibson: Through Gibson Dunn’s work with Lawyers Without Borders, traveling to Kenya and Tanzania to conduct legal trainings on combating wildlife crime and trafficking.

How did Gibson prepare you for this next chapter in your life? Gibson’s and our client’s expectations are high. At Gibson I learned to deliver high quality work product in tight timeframes. I credit Gibson with my eagle eye, sharp counseling and hustle. I pride myself on delivering high quality work while maintaining the speed and agility my business teams need to succeed. I learned this through my mentors at Gibson and through serving clients at Gibson.

How do you stay engaged and continue relationships with your fellow Gibson alumni? Some of my best friends I met working with Gibson. I keep in touch personally and professionally through social media, meeting in person, attending conferences and generally sharing professional struggles and triumphs through all of these means.

Favorite memory from your time at Gibson: Going to trial 3 times in my first 3 years and getting the opportunity to cross examine my first witness.

How did Gibson prepare you for this next chapter in your life? By building competence and confidence. At Gibson, you are given the opportunity to learn from some of the best lawyers and you are forced to solve problems without easy solutions. When you go in-house, you are often faced with problems that you have never seen before. My time at Gibson gave me confidence to feel as though I was ready to solve these new problems and the competence to be able to do so.

How do you stay engaged and continue relationships with your fellow Gibson alumni? Many Gibson colleagues are now close friends. We see each other in social settings and are intentional to stay in contact throughout the year.

Favorite memory from your time at Gibson: Being a Summer Coordinator. Sarah Kushner, Kyle Kolb, and I filmed a welcome video for our Summers in the style of Game of Thrones. It was hilarious.

How did Gibson prepare you for this next chapter in your life? The free market system allowed me to gain exposure to various transactional disciplines earlier on in my career. This allowed me to develop a more holistic understanding of the dealmaking environment which I leverage even today in my role as a Vice President at Raine.

How do you stay engaged and continue relationships with your fellow Gibson alumni? We check in on one another via texts and social media. Some of my closer former colleagues and I have even gotten together for golf.
