Deepak Nanda, Michael Scanlon and Michelle Gourley Named 2021 BTI M&A Client Service All-Stars

BTI Consulting Group named Orange County partner Deepak Nanda, Washington, D.C. partner Michael Scanlon, and Orange County of counsel Michelle Gourley to its 2021 BTI M&A Client Service All-Stars list, recognizing 207 lawyers “who stand above all the others in delivering the absolute best in client service.”  The list was published on September 15, 2021.

Deepak Nanda focuses on transactional and securities matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, privatization transactions, leveraged recapitalizations and buyouts; venture capital and private equity fund formation and portfolio company investment; public and private offerings of equity and debt securities; public corporation securities laws and reporting compliance; and structured finance transactions.  He has significant experience in the medical device, financial services, pharmaceutical, information technology and media and entertainment sectors.

Michael Scanlon has an extensive practice representing U.S. and foreign public company and audit firm clients on regulatory, corporate governance, and enforcement matters. He advises corporate clients on SEC compliance and disclosure issues, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and corporate governance best practices, with a particular focus on financial reporting matters.  He frequently represents both accounting firms and public company clients on SEC and PCAOB accounting and auditing matters, including financial statement materiality and restatement issues, internal control issues, auditor independence, and other accounting-related disclosure issues.

Michelle Gourley practices general corporate and business law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate counseling. She has significant experience with domestic and international transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, round financings and buy-out options across numerous industries such as manufacturing, medical device and software. She also has significant experience in private equity transactions and has served as lead counsel in all facets of such transactions, including the acquisition, debt and equity offerings to investors and the financing by mezzanine and senior lenders.
